Robots in the pharmaceutical industry must fulfil strict criteria that go beyond the requirements of most other industries. The focus here is on cleaning and decontamination processes in compliance with the GMP cleanroom classification. Stäubli Robotics offers hygienic four- and six-axis robots for every production area. The high-performance machines fulfil even the strict requirements of GMP class A and B isolators, RABS and freeze dryers. The automation of transport from the end of the filling line to the freeze dryer is one of the major trends in the pharmaceutical industry.
Visitors can discover the full range of pharmaceuticals from Stäubli in detail at the trade fair stand. It consists of three different robot seriesaccessPharma for non-aseptic applications, Stericlean for aseptic areas and Stericlean+ for use in isolators. A TX2-90 accessPharma, a TX2-60 Stericlean and a TX2-60 Stericlean+ represent each product range.
Stäubli's pharmaceutical robots are already an important component of filling and packaging lines. Visitors can see this for themselves with the Demo cell for loading and unloading freeze dryers which was developed in collaboration with the Spanish company Telstar, a specialist in pharmaceutical processing systems. The demo shows a stationary TX2-90-Stericlean+ robot that loads trays into a freeze dryer and performs additional tasks such as the Recording clips and connecting the trays to each other takes over.
„We are continuously developing robotic solutions for all applications and cleanroom levels in the life science sector. One of the main focuses is on hygiene-compliant mobile robots for demanding mobile applications in class A/B environments with strict hygiene and cleaning requirements.“
