Südpack was delighted to receive further awards for its packaging. The company received two WorldStar Awards for its Tubular Bag PurePE and PharmaGuard packaging concepts. The solutions are based on mono-material structures.
The WorldStar Award is one of the most important events of the World Packaging Organisation (WPO) and reflects the continuous development of packaging technologies and packaging trends. With this award, the jury honours 200 current products each year that have already won recognised national and international awards. The polyethylene-based concept sets standards in terms of recyclability, material efficiency and the reduction of CO2-footprint. By using a 30 µm thinner film compared to previous film structures, it was possible, among other things, to reduce the resource consumption by 23 per cent and CO2-Footprint reduced by 19 per cent can be recycled.
