B+S GmbH Logistik und Dienstleistungen has relocated its headquarters from Bad Iburg in Lower Saxony to Borgholzhausen in North Rhine-Westphalia. The company has moved into a new logistics complex on a 20,000 square metre site in the Borgholzhausen-Versmold industrial estate, which offers plenty of potential for entrepreneurial growth.
In addition to the logistics specialist's headquarters, a logistics hall is also located there, which is used by well-known pet food manufacturers, among others. The storage of pet food requires high quality standards, which B+S fulfils through careful incoming goods inspections. Other services such as Assembly and packaging round off the portfolio at the new location. The new head office was officially opened on 23 June.
„The new logistics complex is not only optimally tailored to the requirements of our customers, but also offers us the opportunity to implement our growth strategy in the areas of contract logistics and e-commerce,“ says Stefan Brinkmann, Managing Director of B+S GmbH Logistik und Dienstleistungen.
Together with its customers, the company has grown considerably in recent years and had reached its limits in Bad Iburg. The new 12,000 square metre, temperature-controlled warehouse with high racks on eight levels, offers space for more than 20,000 pallets and therefore significantly more storage space than the facility at the old site, which was designed for 12,000 pallets. The new hall meets the latest standards, which guarantees smooth and speedy logistics processes.
Quality inspection and value-added services
In Borgholzhausen, B+S would particularly like to strengthen the E-commerce fulfilment expand. The services offered by the logistics specialist there are correspondingly extensive. Another focus is on the Value Added Services. On a mezzanine floor in the logistics hall, employees have around 1500 square metres of space available for value-added services. When goods are received, the products are subjected to careful quality checks. „This allows us to guarantee that we store flawless goods and that our warehouse always remains hygienically clean,“ says Brinkmann. In addition to quality control, B+S offers other value-added services, including picking, packing, assortment creation and display construction. Like all other B+S locations, the new complex in Borgholzhausen is IFS-certified.
