New head at BASF Plastic Additives

Dr Achim Sties is the new head of BASF's Plastic Additives business unit, which is to be bundled globally and managed from Singapore in future. 

After many years of experience, Dr Achim Sties was appointed head of BASF's Plastic Additives business unit on 1 January. In future, the business will be bundled in a global unit and managed from Singapore. 

Already in his previous function Achim Sties headed BASF's Plastic Additives business in Europe. He began his career at BASF in Ludwigshafen in 2005 and has since worked in various roles in Europe and South America. Sties holds a doctorate in economics from the University of Heidelberg.
