Baumer hhs: new „Inverto“ inliner adhesive application system“

Baumer hhs is launching a new gluing unit for contactless glue application in inliners (FFG) under the name Inverto. The system allows both inner and outer flaps to be glued in corrugated board processing with inliners by quickly changing the gluing from top to bottom.

Baumer hhs is launching a new gluing unit for contactless glue application in inliners (FFG). „Inverto“, as the system is called, enables the gluing of both inner and outer flaps in corrugated board processing with inliners by quickly changing the gluing from top to bottom.

A decisive economic advantage here is that Inverto can operate with just one Adhesive application head and only one Travelling unit This also minimises the installation effort and complexity of the system within the inliner. In addition, it is very easy to change the gluing from top to bottom with very short set-up times.

Inverto System

Inverto consists of a standard system with an application head, a cable set and a cutting guide. In addition, Inverto has two optional, tried and tested MLT 40 sensors for 100% control of adhesive application from above and below. The tried-and-tested water bath known from Baumer hhs glue application systems protects the glue application valves when applying glue from above by „parking“ the valves in the water bath when the inliner is at rest.

„In the production of folding boxes and other packaging made from corrugated cardboard, the Outer flap bonding to optimally utilise the volume of the packaging. With Inverto, corrugated board processors can add this option to their inliners at low investment and installation costs, without having to install a second traverse in their inliner. We developed this gluing unit for alternative adhesive application from above and below in response to many customer requests, especially for retrofits of existing inliners,“ explains Inverto. Set-up times at a glance

The corrugated board industry's requirements for Shortest set-up times When developing Inverto, Baumer hhs therefore focussed on simple conversion of the gluing unit from top to bottom and vice versa. Innovative quick-release connections simplify the changeover of the gluing, whereby the application head only needs to be unlocked, moved and fixed again. All this is possible in just one or two steps. The intuitive touchscreen of the Xtend2 control system from Baumer hhs, gluing and optional monitoring can be switched within seconds. Both guarantee the shortest possible set-up times and therefore maximum availability of the inliners.
