Sensor specialist Baumer will be presenting its latest solutions for intelligent factory and process automation at SPS. For example, the focus is on reliable detection of fill levels, simple code reading, as well as positioning and inspection with little effort.
Where conventional sensors reach their limits with films and residues, the new PL240 capacitive sensor guarantees reliable point level detection thanks to its innovative measuring principle. The sensor can detect fill levels through container walls without contact and is unimpressed by build-up and condensation on plastic or glass containers with wall thicknesses of up to six millimetres.
The IDC200 camera-based multicode reader identifies all common 1D and 2D codes and therefore offers the following benefits Efficient options for identification and tracking of components and products.
With the smart 2D profile sensors of the new OX series sensor class (image), a wide range of demanding applications can be realised. Positioning and inspection tasks can be solved particularly economically. A comprehensive set of tools enables the complete processing of profile data directly in the intelligent sensor.
The portfolio of inductive sensors offers fully digital sensors with IO-Link Dual Channel: As a special Highlights especially for confined installation spaces the company will be presenting the new cubic models of the IF200 and IF250 series with special performance.
The company is further expanding its position in magnetic encoders: The particularly robust EAM580RS encoder in a certified safety design simplifies engineering and system acceptance in safety-relevant fields of application. Another new product is the EB360 rotary encoder. Thanks to hermetically sealed electronics it detects rotary movements reliably and permanently in any environment in the smallest of installation spaces.
Test products live
In a special area next to the main stand visitors can see for themselves how demanding automation tasks can be solved with Baumer sensors. Highlight products such as the smart 2D profile sensors from the OX series can be tested. The connectivity experts will also be giving live demonstrations, how IO-Link devices can be easily connected and parameterised. The sensor workshop also focuses on high-performance photoelectric sensors and light scanners for assembly and handling technology.
