Beck Automation wants to optimise the operation of systems with a new HMI. The portrait-format input system not only facilitates programme selection on the system, but also offers a portable solution for flexible access around the machines.
The new HMI consists of a robust industrial panel. „The The entire input interface has been revised by us and now offers more space for status messages. In addition, all functions and input options have been provided with clear pictograms so that the operator can work intuitively,“ explains Raphael Schor, CTO of the Beck Automation AG.
Means separate, easy-to-use buttons mounted on the HMI housing can be used to trigger the main functions such as start, stop and reset. In previous input systems, the buttons were integrated into the HMI interface, which is why direct, quick access was not possible.
The new systems are always supplied with a permanently installed panel. Alternatively to a second identical panel on the other side of the machine, customers can now make an even more flexible choice.
„The system can also equipped with a portable terminal device and operated. This allows the user to walk around the machine and have full access to the system's functions,“ continues Schor.
