Beiersdorf AG has officially opened the expansion of its production centre in Poznan. With an investment of 300 million euros, the company is doubling its local capacity and creating over 200 new jobs. The Poznan site will thus become one of the most strategically important and innovative plants in the DAX Group's global production network.
Beiersdorf can look back on almost 100 years of production history in Poznan. Today, the site supplies over 100 international markets with products from the brands NIVEA, Eucerin, Atrix, Hidrofugal, Florena and the regional brand Bambino. The expansion project launched in 2020 was successfully completed in 2025 - without interrupting operations. With the Commissioning of six additional, highly automated production lines and a state-of-the-art microbiological laboratory, the annual production capacity increases to 500 million units.
„This investment is a strong commitment to our long-term growth strategy and to strengthening our global supply chain in a dynamic market environment. The capacity expansion is more than just an operational milestone with which we are further expanding our state-of-the-art production. It is a long-term investment in the future of skincare and in our close partnership with the Poznan region. It is also a clear commitment to our ambitious sustainability endeavours.“
Vincent Warnery, Chairman of the Executive Board of Beiersdorf AG
Strategic role in the global production network
According to Beiersdorf, it is strengthening its global production network with targeted investments in order to serve the dynamic growth in its core markets and make its supply chain fit for the future. The company is creating additional capacity in Poznan, Poland, for the European market, increasing operational flexibility and strengthening regional delivery capability. The decisive factors for the choice of location were an efficient infrastructure, well-trained skilled labour and stable economic conditions, according to the statement.
At the same time, the company is investing in the modernisation of further locations in its global production network. The capacity expansions in Mexico and Brazil were already completed in 2024. These are key measures for serving regional growth, shortening the time to market and sustainably strengthening competitiveness through automation and digitalisation. In Germany, a new distribution centre is currently being built in Leipzig, which will supply the European market from 2027.
