Berlin Packaging is presenting new packaging concepts for wine and spirits producers at Wine Paris. The focus is on the „Sculpting“ design concept, which combines aesthetics and functionality and can be implemented without interfering with existing bottling processes.

Berlin Packaging is exhibiting for the first time at the Wine Paris trade fair, where it is showcasing packaging solutions for the wine and spirits market. The company will be presenting glass packaging in which design adaptations are specifically harmonised with industrial requirements. One focus is on the „Sculpting“ concept, which further develops existing bottle shapes with structured surfaces and specific details.

According to the company, the approach aims to enhance the look and feel of bottles without changing technical parameters such as dimensions, weight or compatibility with filling and secondary packaging lines. The aim is to be able to realise individual designs without extending development times or market launches.

The concepts are created in the in-house design and innovation centre Studio One Eleven. This is where design, technical feasibility and industrial realisation are brought together - from the initial idea to prototypes and the decoration of primary and secondary packaging. According to the company, this model, which is already established in the spirits sector, is also becoming increasingly important in the wine segment.

One specific example is the further development of the Nocturne bottle. The revised version retains its familiar silhouette, but adds new design elements to the glass base. According to Berlin Packaging, this saves material and reduces the weight without compromising stability or quality. The bottle is available in several variants and can be combined with matching glass closures.

Berlin Packaging is demonstrating further applications of the sculpting concept with textured surfaces - known as ribs - on existing bottle models such as Alfie, Helium, Essence and Belleville. The textured details are designed to maintain the recognisability of the bottles while enhancing their visual impact. These solutions are used by manufacturers who want to further develop their brand positioning without giving up their origins and craftsmanship.

Berlin Packaging is thus positioning packaging design as a strategic tool for wine and spirits producers to combine differentiation, functionality and industrial efficiency.
