The Beumer Group has officially opened a new production plant in Taicang, China. With this investment, the company is strengthening its global production network and further expanding its presence in the Chinese market.

The Beumer Group, a provider of solutions for conveyor and material handling technology, opened a new production plant in Taicang in the Chinese province of Jiangsu at the beginning of January. The opening ceremony took place on 10 December 2025 and coincided with the 20th anniversary of Beumer China and the 90th anniversary of the Group.

Expansion of production capacities in China

The new plant covers an area of around 33,350 square metres and has around 23,000 square metres of production space. The plant comprises two large production halls and additional ancillary areas. According to the company, construction was completed within twelve months, from the start of earthworks in July 2024 to handover in June 2025. The plant is integrated into the Beumer Group's global production network and will supply customers in the Asia-Pacific region and internationally.

Long-term market presence and local roots

The Beumer Group has founded two new companies with foreign sole ownership in Taicang as part of its expansion programme. The company is thus deepening its operational base in China. Rudolf Hausladen, CEO of the Beumer Group, said at the opening ceremony that the new plant strengthens the company's ability to support customers in China and the region with local manufacturing and technical expertise.

Development of Beumer China since 2005

According to the company, the workforce at Beumer China has grown to around 400 employees.

Focus on digitalisation and sustainability

The plant in Taicang was designed as a digitally orientated production site.
