At interpack, the Beumer Group will be showcasing tailor-made solutions for end-of-line packaging: from filling into bags and palletising to product stacks packed ready for transport - including control, comprehensive customer support and additional digital services. The start-ups Sparrow, Elara and Holocene, which are part of the Beumer Group, will also be exhibiting at the stand.
The Beumer Group is presenting itself at interpack as a supplier of high-performance end-of-line packaging lines that are customised to meet specific customer requirements. For the chemical and petrochemical industry, the company has the fillpac FFS form-fill-seal system in its programme. This moulds up to 2,800 bags per hour from prefabricated PE tubular film and fills it with the customer's product. The user can select a suitable machine performance class from this product family according to their requirements.
Depending on the container, the company offers various palletising solutions - for example the Paletpac high-performance layer palletiser for bagged bulk goods. Depending on the product requirements, it is equipped with a clamping or double-belt turning device that brings the bags quickly and dimensionally stable into the required position.
Beumer has not only designed this palletiser series to be robust, but has also completely redesigned it: With the new, modular design, the same or similar components and modules are now installed in all systems, and, Wherever feasible, the system provider has implemented a design that is as identical as possible. The number of components is also lower. This reduces the number of spare parts and speeds up delivery times. The modules are assembled individually and customised, tested internally and assembled on site. This saves time and costs.
The packs, which are precisely stacked on pallets, can then be conveyed to the downstream Stretch Hood packaging system. This is now also manufactured in a modular design and therefore offers the same advantages as the Paletpac. The Stretch Hood covers the palletised goods with a highly stretchable stretch hood film, which makes a further resource-saving contribution with up to 30 percent recycled content. The goods are thus safely protected from environmental influences such as sun, dirt and moisture both during handling and during outdoor storage.
The Software Solutions division will also be presented. Beumer is thus focussing on the growing market requirements with regard to digital offerings strategically. The aim is to create added value through smart software solutions with high quality standards, a drive for innovation and a sense of sustainability.
In the area of customer support, the company has developed Beumer Smart Glasses, a pioneering product that supports users quickly and easily. If machine malfunctions and downtimes occur and are not rectified as quickly as possible, this can be expensive for manufacturing companies. Customer Support technicians use the smart glasses to look virtually over the shoulder of the customer's service technician and solve the problem together with them. This digital solution reduces time-consuming journeys and high additional costs.
To secure our own future viability, the system provider relies on the support of start-ups and thus brings digital projects into the Group.
Sparrow Networks for example, uses its digital marketplace to ensure that participants are supplied with the right spare part as quickly as possible if a component in their systems fails. Thanks to the network, a suitable provider can always be found in a short space of time.
Elara Digital offers the right solutions for reduced downtimes and higher machine availability with its virtual assistant. With the Knowledge database for maintenance teams relevant information such as work orders, checklists, machine documentation or troubleshooting guides can be created and accessed easily and intuitively.
Another young company is Holocene, which offers a cloud and AI-supported software that enables users to optimise cross-border supply chain processes. This makes the processes transparent and traceable and builds trust between all parties involved in the trade.
