Bischof + Klein expands its production capacities

The Lengerich-based company Bischof + Klein has expanded its production capacities. New machines were put into operation at the headquarters. A completely new hall was built at the Konzell plant.

The Lengerich-based company Bishop + Klein has expanded its production capacities. New machines were put into operation at the headquarters. A completely new hall was built at the Konzell plant.

The Lengerich-based company „Bishop + Klein“ (B+K) has expanded its production capacities. At the main plant in Lengerich a total of four new systems were purchased. A new hall is in the works Concell has been built.

Two new Blown film lines B+K has put into operation in Lengerich. One of these will be installed in the recently enlarged Clean room factory used. Among other things, the increasingly popular „CleanFlex“ product line is manufactured there. The company also acquired a modern Extrusion coating line and a new Laminating system.

The new hall in Konzell, Bavaria, is used for the production of „U-Pack“ side-fold bags. In the production building, new Confectioning plants started operations.

With the new investments, the B+R Group intends to further expand its market position, says CEO Dr Volker Pfennig, according to the company's press release, adding: „On the basis of continuous investment, we are aiming for annual growth of five per cent in the future.“ [infotext]

Globalised family business from Lengerich

Bischof + Klein is 125 years old this year. At six locations in Germany, France, the UK, Poland and Saudi Arabia, a total of 2,600 employees produce technical films made of plastics and plastic composites as well as flexible packaging. The main plant in Lengerich alone employs 1,300 people. According to the company, annual turnover in 2016 totalled over 560 million euros. Bischof + Klein is still a family business.
