The Bito folding box EQ has passed the „ASTM D4169-16“ test at VDZ GmbH Kompetenz und Prüfungszentrum für Verpackung und Transport Dortmund - and thus the test as a transport container with regard to dynamic mechanical stress during lorry transport.
As a collapsible reusable container, the Bito collapsible box EQ saves a lot of space during transport and storage when empty. The volume of the container is reduced by a ratio of 1:4 after folding and the Space requirement for storage and transport as an empty container thus 75 per cent less. However, it is not only this space saving that makes the storage and transport container so economical and sustainable. Above all, its longevity plays a decisive role in the fact that the EQ collapsible container, like all high-quality plastic containers from Bito-Lagertechnik, can be rated as a sustainable and economical reusable system. This is because the more cycles a container can perform during its service life, the lower the investment per cycle and the longer it remains in the supply cycle.
Bito-Lagertechnik Bittmann GmbH has had the suitability of its collapsible box EQ tested in the harsh everyday use of reusable containers and has had its reusable container collapsible variant tested by VDZ Dortmund in accordance with the international standard „ASTM D4169-16“. This endurance test centres on extreme road-like load tests under different conditions. The aim of this quality test is to assess the suitability of the containers with regard to dynamic mechanical stresses during lorry transport. The EQ collapsible box passed all tests of the „ASTM D4169-16“ test at the first attempt. With this the collapsible reusable container system is in no way inferior to a rigid, non-collapsible container in terms of stability. At the same time, the EQ saves resources during transport and storage thanks to its reduced volume when folded.

On the one hand, the collapsible container can be used as an automation container for shuttles and the like, and on the other hand, it ensures that resources - i.e. transport volume - are saved during delivery or return transport in its collapsed state. Large interior volume, ergonomically designed
The EQ is also ergonomically designed and easy to use. The folding mechanism was developed with leading labour scientists. The side panel release is easy to operate and the box can be erected and folded quickly, easily and without risk of injury using rockers. The folding box is optionally available with through-barrel handles or with end walls closed up to the top edge so that the volume of the box can be fully utilised. With this variant Swivelling lift handles ensure easy operation and the high wearing comfort.
The container comes in two heights and is also available with a smooth base, ribbed base or, as an alternative to the standard single-walled base, with a double base. The double base makes the collapsible box suitable for carrying and transporting heavy loads and for use in automated warehouses. The collapsible box is also characterised by its extremely quiet running. Depending on the application and requirements, the EQ can also be can be closed with a hinged lid, optional barcodeable BITO seals offer additional security and protection against unauthorised access.
