Blue Bell recalls incorrectly packaged ice cream

The error was discovered by an employee who noticed two incorrectly packaged units while restocking at a retailer.

Blue Bell Ice Cream has announced a recall for one batch of Moo-llennium Crunch Ice Cream.

Affected are half gallons that were shipped in Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough packaging and may contain undeclared almonds, walnuts and pecans.

The company announced that the products were manufactured at the Brenham (Texas) plant. The error was discovered by an employee who noticed two incorrectly packaged units while restocking at a retailer, according to the statement. No illnesses or allergic reactions have been reported to date.

According to Blue Bell, people with an allergy to almonds, walnuts or pecan nuts run the risk of severe health reactions. Affected consumers can return the items to the shops for a refund.
