Bobst Meerbusch is inviting packaging manufacturers to its Competence Center in Meerbusch from 18 to 20 October 2017 under the motto „Experts meet experts“. During the first two days, the Expert Days programme will focus on the folding carton industry, while 19 October will be dedicated to the corrugated board industry.
All three days will feature a colourful mix of information on current industry trends, machine demonstrations with live production of sample packaging, the presentation of the latest solutions from BOBST and an expert forum by several partner companies taking part in the event.
One focus of the Expert Days is on the topic of Lamination. The FOLIOSTAR sheet-to-sheet laminating machine, which is suitable for both small and large batches and has an output of 9,000 sheets per hour or 150 metres per minute, will be on show in action. The same applies to the VISIONCUT 106 LER 3.0 and MASTERCUT 1.7 flatbed die-cutters and the EXPERTFOLD 110 A2 folder-gluer with HANDYPACK GT semi-automatic packer. These machines are currently installed at the BOBST Competence Centre Meerbusch for demonstration and training purposes.
Presentation of the new offers
During their presentations, the experts from BOBST will inform the participants of the event about the latest innovations of the company in the areas of laminating machines, flatbed die-cutters and folder-gluers. In line with the increasing importance of services for customers, Bobst Meerbusch will also be presenting its new offerings here: „BOBST Training“ includes extended training programmes for machine operators. „BOBST Connected Glasses“ is an innovative remote service that allows BOBST technicians to look through the eyes of the machine operator into the systems of BOBST customers in the event of mechanical faults using special digital glasses. The „BOBST Portal“ is a convenient way for customers to order spare parts for their BOBST systems around the clock.
„Visitors to our Expert Days 2017 can expect an entertaining programme with lots of useful information and suggestions for day-to-day business,“ promises Dick van Bruggen, Business Director Germany & Benelux in BOBST's Sheet-fed division.
The events start at 10.00 a.m. on all three days with a welcome address and end at around 3.45 p.m. each day. Afterwards, visitors will have the opportunity to hold in-depth technical discussions with the experts from BOBST and the participating partner companies.
