On 1 September 2019, Richard Perner (51) took over as Sales Director at Bobst Meerbusch GmbH. He succeeds Dick van Bruggen, who has been Managing Director Benelux of the company since 1993 and also took on the role of Managing Director of Bobst Meerbusch from 2010 to 2014. On his own initiative, he has focussed on managing the company's sales since 2015. Also at his own request, he has been fully dedicated to managing Bobst in the Benelux countries since September 2019.
Perner has been working in the sales organisation at Bobst Meerbusch since 1993. After initially serving customers in the German Folding carton industry he has been using his extensive practical experience to support Bobst's German customers in the Corrugated board industry to the side. He studied mechanical engineering at the Baden-Württemberg Cooperative State University in Mannheim. After completing his studies, he worked as a project engineer at Mannesmann Anlagenbau AG in Düsseldorf before moving to Bobst.

I see one of my central tasks as helping our customers in both sectors to Transformation of their companies into the Industry 4.0 age and to support them in their markets in the long term. In addition to future-orientated machine technology, BOBST's new Connected Services also play a key role here. The close partnerships that many customers have had with our company, often for decades, form a solid basis for a successful future together,“ explains Richard Perner.

At the same time, he is very familiar with the challenges facing manufacturers of folding cartons and corrugated board packaging in an increasingly competitive environment. Our customers value him for his commitment and his holistic view, with which he proactively covers their requirements.“
For greater customer proximity
By allowing Dick van Bruggen to concentrate fully on the Bobst branch in Berchem and its customers, the company says it is once again improving its proximity to customers in the Benelux markets with very high demands on the quality of packaging. The change in personnel will strengthen Bobst's sales organisation in both Germany and the Benelux countries.
