BOPP films with ultra-high barrier

TPL offers a wide range of ultra-high barrier BOPP films specifically designed to meet the high shelf life requirements of the food industry.

Thanks to the excellent barrier properties of UHB-BOPP films - especially in combination with heat-resistant BOPP films - the new solutions from TPL enable the Development of recyclable packaging made from mono-PP. This is an important step to help packaging producers comply with the EU Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation (PPWR). The entire range of UHB-BOPP films from TPL is both for adhesive and extrusion lamination designed.

One product in TPL's new portfolio is the 28µ white metallised BOPP film WHF-K445, which offers ultra-high Barrier effect against light, moisture, gas and aroma offers. With very low permeation rates (OTR and WVTR of 0.1), the WHF-K445 is ideal for the Packaging of dry foods and foods with a high fat content. It also offers very good seal strength, bending and puncture resistance. Its cavitated design and dual function as a sealing and barrier film enable simplified packaging structures. This reduces process complexity and makes a significant contribution to reducing packaging weight.

BOPP films to fulfil the PPWR

TPL's BOPP films help companies to achieve their sustainability goals and fulfil the requirements of the EU packaging regulation (PPWR), which came into force in February. With the BOPP speciality types such as ultra-high barrier, heat-resistant or matt films With low density, mono-material packaging can be designed, which increases recyclability.
