Bosch Packaging Technology's 9th Pharma Day in Crailsheim was used by the new site manager Dr Alexander Giehl to introduce himself to customers and friends of the packaging manufacturer in his new role. Dr Alexander Giehl took over from Joachim Brenner took up his new position. After almost eight years in Crailsheim, Brenner moved to Königsbrunn to take over the management of the local Ampack GmbH and the Liquid Food product group. The new site manager comes from the Bosch site in Waiblingen, where he has been Head of Deployment Business Excellence since 2016. The 9th Pharma Day, which were held both at the Crailsheim plant and at the new Carmen Würth Forum in Künzelsau, were held under the motto „Expertise for the perfect flow”. He addressed key topics such as digitalisation, artificial intelligence and the relationship between man and machine.

Yogeshwar's presentation was broadcast to the Crailsheim plant, where employees were able to watch it on a large screen. There was also a reverse data connection from Crailsheim to Künzelsau. Factory tour for practical insights into production
Pharmatag once again kicked off with a tour of the plant in Crailsheim. Both established machine concepts and individual customer projects were shown in action. For example, a holistic concept for the Filling and sealing machine „ALF 5000“ with insulator for the aseptic filling highly potent products. In addition, Bosch exhibited a line developed jointly with a leading pharmaceutical manufacturer, including integrated robots for the precise and safe filling of Biopharmaceuticals. The guests were also able to gain an impression of the „Pharma i 4.0 Starter Edition“ software. The tool visualises production data in real time and enables the data to be evaluated as a basis for process optimisation.
