Craemer is presenting Kubo - a new four-way box - at LogiMAT. The box is designed to support smooth processes in intralogistics and is particularly suitable for heavy loads.

Craemer is a specialist in metal forming, plastics processing and mould making with its main plant in Herzebrock-Clarholz and three other European plants. Over 60 years of plastics expertise have also gone into the development and production of PE logistics solutions using injection moulding. The latest innovation is the Kubo, a Plastic box as an alternative for the Gibo (Euro grid box, Euro pool grid box pallet).

The Gibo-compatible Kubo can be used alternatively and in parallel. With the same external dimensions (1240 x 835 x 970 mm), it holds around 610 litres; with a tare weight of around 51 kilograms (with front wall flap), it has a static stacking load of 3000 kilograms (payload 1000 kg, dynamic load 2100 kg). The four-legged Kubo is based on the UIC standard, runs Maintenance-free and trouble-free on all conveyor systems and is suitable for automated high-bay warehouses.

In addition to the more closed shape and low weight (more cost-effective transport: around 25 per cent lighter than Gibo), the Kubo has high stability and good stackability. Strong lower deck reinforcements (three transverse and two longitudinal profiles) stabilise the container floor. L-shaped steel profiles on the long sides of the four-way box provide additional impact protection in addition to the ribs above the entry openings. A front wall flap with hinges and locking mechanism on one long side, which can be opened 180 degrees downwards and outwards, allows the contents to be loaded and unloaded even when the boxes are stacked. When closed, the front wall flap (705 x 423 mm) leaves a gap for the forklift tines to enter when stacking or removing a box.

The straight lines, minimal ribbing and rounded shape ensure easy cleaning and drying. The Craemer Kubo is temperature-resistant from -30 to +40 degrees Celsius (briefly up to +90) and resistant to most chemicals and cleaning agents. It is optionally available with or without a front wall flap (with document holder) and RFID equipment. Imprint fields are used for customised embossing, The nubbed panels make it easy to apply and remove temporary stickers.
