B+S GmbH Logistik und Dienstleistungen has started a cooperation with Bielefeld University of Applied Sciences and is now offering the practice-integrated degree programme „Digital Logistics“. The course, which starts for the first time on 1 August 2018, leads to a Bachelor of Engineering degree.
„The new Digital Logistics degree programme combines theory and practice. This optimally prepares students for their future work,„ explains Marcus Meyer, Head of Human Resources at B+S Logistics and Services. The aim of B+S is to provide prospective logistics specialists with a comprehensive education and then integrate them into the company as permanent employees.
„Digital Logistics“ degree programme: focus on practice
The duration of the programme at the Gütersloh Campus is limited to seven semesters which are set out in Three-month theoretical and practical phases subdivide. Theoretical knowledge is taught at the FH. The students are also employed by B+S, which allows them to grow into the company and gain professional experience.
„With a Bachelor of Engineering, graduates are then able to design and optimise the value creation processes in any large logistics or industrial company,“ says Meyer. They also have the opportunity to take on a managerial position in production and logistics.

Interested candidates should also have an affinity for maths and computer science and have some programming experience.
