Bucher Emhart Glass with new division head

In connection with the change, Bucher Industries also announced the acquisition of cm.project.ing GmbH.

Bucher Industries has appointed Daniel Schippan as the future division head of Bucher Emhart Glass and a member of Group management. He will succeed Matthias Kümmerle, who will become CEO of the Group, at the beginning of 2026.

Daniel Schippan will take over the management of the Bucher Emhart Glass division on 1 January 2026 and at the same time join the Group management of Bucher Industries. He succeeds Matthias Kümmerle, who will take over as CEO after the 2026 Annual General Meeting, as previously announced. Schippan will join the company on 1 October 2025 in order to familiarise himself with his new role.

The 53-year-old German is a recognised expert in the glass industry. In 2007, he founded cm.project.ing GmbH based in Jülich, a service company specialising in the glass industry, which he has managed ever since. Prior to this, Schippan held various management positions within the industry. He holds a master's degree in metallurgy and materials engineering as well as a doctorate from the Technical University of RWTH Aachen.

Takeover of cm.project.ing GmbH

In connection with the change, Bucher Industries also announced the acquisition of cm.project.ing GmbH. The company employs around 45 people and generates annual sales of around 8 million euros. It specialises in project planning, engineering services and consulting for the glass industry. Following completion of the transaction, which is expected by the end of August 2025, cm.project.ing will be integrated into the Bucher Emhart Glass division. According to Bucher Industries, the acquisition strengthens the market position and expands the range of services offered by Bucher Emhart Glass.
