Austrian automation company B&R will be showcasing its first cloud application for machine builders at the Hannover Messe from 1 to 5 April 2019, as well as a wide range of intelligent image processing solutions.

The Cloud application „Asset Performance Monitor“ provides a reliable, round-the-clock overview of all machines in the field. It records around the clock Machine data such as production rate, energy consumption and temperature, can be found in the technical data on the product page on the Internet. This provides machine builders with clear data that highlights the need for optimisation, improves service for customers and also indicates upcoming maintenance. The B&R application is based on ABB's „ABB Ability“ digital solution.

Software modules for intelligent exposure systems

B&R, which also has numerous packaging solutions in its portfolio, is also announcing a globally unique innovation: the first Image processing, which is fully integrated into the automation system. A wide range of solutions is covered, from simple Vision sensors and intelligent cameras via Image processing algorithms through to a sophisticated lighting system. The lighting is either integrated into the cameras or available as an external device and is automatically synchronised with the image capture.

Human-track collaboration without guards

The stand will also feature a demonstration of a Intelligent transport system with safe Human-track collaboration. Visitors will see how five integrated safety functions ensure that man and machine can work together safely and securely without impeding the production flow. A separating protective device is not necessary.
