Raja and Ranpak have signed a new business agreement to promote the distribution of paper-based packaging materials in Europe. The solutions are used to protect products from shocks and temperature fluctuations during transport.
The co-operation between Raja and Ranpak includes cooperation in the development of new paper packaging solutions; collaboration with Ranpak's research and development centre in Kerkrade, the Netherlands, and the integration of the expectations expressed by Raja customers. In addition, the companies will also be marketing new Packaging solutions for temperature-sensitive products (e.g. food, medicines), such as the insulated packaging solution RecyCold Climaliner. Raja plans to employ 20 additional specialists to support its customers with the Customised implementation of paper-based protective packaging and void fillers advise.
The agreement reached between the two companies corresponds to the increasing demand for alternatives to plastic packaging. A new EU directive sets member states a target of 100 per cent recyclable packaging by 2030.
„The cooperation with Ranpak enables Raja to develop unique expertise in the field of paper-based filling materials in Europe. Companies are increasingly tending to use easily recyclable packaging, although the needs of customers are diverse. Some customers want to automate their product packaging processes, others do not. Our aim is to offer every customer throughout Europe the same level of service, quality and technical expertise.”
