Butterfly Packaging continues its growth strategy and acquires PAK Emballages, a French provider of customised packaging solutions for take-away gastronomy, food service and retail. With this acquisition, Butterfly Packaging is further expanding its market position in France and at the same time extending its portfolio of packaging services.
According to the company, the merger will enable Butterfly Packaging to expand its range of customised packaging solutions and strengthen its technical expertise at the same time. The aim is to be able to serve customers in the food packaging and retail segments even more comprehensively and to act more closely to their specific requirements.
Expansion of expertise and market presence
PAK Emballages is an established specialist in personalised packaging, particularly for out-of-home catering and artisan food businesses. The integration into the Butterfly Packaging group should enable synergies in development, production and customer service. According to the company, the acquisition is a further step in the development of an efficient and sustainable group of companies in the packaging sector.
With the merger, Butterfly Packaging will reach an annual turnover of around 40 million euros and employ around 140 people. The group will operate three production sites in Illiers-Combray (Département Eure-et-Loir), Toul (Meurthe-et-Moselle) and Marseille (Bouches-du-Rhône).
