Cabka, manufacturer of reusable transport packaging made from recycled plastic, will be presenting its latest developments in the field of the circular economy at LogiMAT 2024. For the first time, the company is presenting two innovative load carriers that are specially tailored to customers who are committed to environmental sustainability: The new BigBag S5 pallet and the new foldable large container CabFold Hybrid.
The BigBag S5 pallet is the result of a collaboration between Red Bull and Cabka with the aim of optimising the transport of ingredients and promoting sustainability. This specially developed pallet is made from 100 per cent recycled plastic, enables a closed loop between the Red Bull plants in Europe and the USA. With dimensions of 1150 x 950 x 150 mm and a load capacity of 1000 kg, the BigBag S5 achieves a remarkable reduction in container transport by efficiently utilising the space in 20-foot ISO containers.
In addition to its environmentally friendly production method, this pallet is designed to fulfil the Protection of the big bags during handling and transport and ensures the safety of the valuable contents. Design features include extra wide runners that provide exceptional stability for double stacking and smooth use with roller conveyors, entrance tunnels that prevent the forklift truck from damaging the big bags, a four-way entrance and a deck design that centres the big bag load and increases stability during transport. Cabka also offers this pallet solution to other companies that frequently transport big bags in ISO containers and are looking for special protection for their high-value cargo.
Optimised return logistics with the new CabFold Hybrid
The CabFold Hybrid, which was developed in a collaboration between BMW and Cabka, consists of 90 per cent recycled plastic. This resource-efficient solution significantly reduces CO emissions in packaging logistics. Thanks to its foldability reduce the volume of the large load carrier to less than a third of the original volume, This results in valuable space savings, a higher number of containers per return transport and significant cost and emission reductions. The CabFold Hybrid is designed to integrate seamlessly into existing logistics processes. It replaces conventional pallet cages and improves efficiency, safety and sustainability. This new load carrier will be on show for the first time at LogiMAT.
These collaborations are exemplary for the industry and are intended to emphasise the transformative power of innovative packaging solutions, reusable load carriers and recycling practices.
