Fine ballpoint pens used to be coffee capsules

For the second time, Caran d'ache from Switzerland has presented a limited edition of its 849 biros made from recycled Nespresso capsules.

In their second life, Nespresso capsules could well end up being used to write romantic love letters. The Swiss supplier of fine writing instruments, Caran d'Ache, has a biro in its range that is made from recycled coffee capsules.

Following its première in 2018, the second limited edition of a recycled Aluminium capsules manufactured Kugeschreibers of type 849 were presented. The Upcycling-The project was carried out in cooperation with the coffee capsule manufacturer.

„The aim of this cooperation is to encourage coffee lovers to recycle used Nespresso capsules by demonstrating the impressive possibilities of recycled aluminium.“

Writing instrument as a „hymn of praise for recycling“

Due to the material used, the colours of the capsules also determine the subsequent colour of the biros. For the current edition, the companies involved opted for the dark green colour of the capsules. Master Origin India Capsules.
