On 23 July 2024, the time had come for 19 young Südpack employees: the date marked the end of their training or studies and the beginning of a new chapter in their lives. The traditional graduation ceremony took place in the training workshop at the Ochsenhausen site, where the graduates were presented with their final certificates.
This year's graduates have completed their training at South pack in various specialised areas. These include Plastics and rubber technologists, warehouse logistics specialists, electronics technicians for industrial engineering, industrial mechanics, industrial clerks and industrial clerks with an additional qualification in international business management with foreign languages and IT specialists for system integration. In addition Students from the fields of business administration (Industry, International Business and Forwarding, Transport and Logistics), Industrial Engineering, Business Informatics and Food and Packaging Technology.
Carolin Grimbacher, Managing Partner of the Südpack Group, emphasised the importance of the continuous expansion of the training programme: „In recent years, we have expanded our range of training opportunities. Range continuously expanded, to remain attractive for career starters in traditional apprenticeships and also in the area of dual study programmes.“ With around 100 apprenticeships, Südpack is one of the largest training companies and a major employer in the region.
The Promoting young talent is a central component of HR management and crucial for the solid economic growth of the international group of companies. „The quality of the training, the excellent working conditions at Südpack and the high retention rate are a real value factor,“ emphasised Birgit Schechner, Vice President HR & IT. Together with Carolin Grimbacher and Head of Training Dr Stephanie Würfl, she presented the graduates with their certificates and a small gift.
A special tradition at Südpack is the letter that the trainees write to themselves in their first week of training. This is presented to them at the graduation ceremony to reflect on whether the wishes and expectations for the apprenticeship years formulated in the letters have been fulfilled. Carolin Grimbacher explained:
„Our young talents have to judge that for themselves. But I think that our training support, which is tailored to the needs of each individual, is the best way to achieve this goal. The excellent training results again this year are more than just a clear indication!“
After the ceremonial presentation of certificates, the 19 young employees celebrated with champagne and a buffet before starting their careers.
