SIG has launched a new packaging for consuming drinks on the go. The on-the-go carton bottle SIG DomeMini is a small-format pack that offers the convenience of a bottle but uses less plastic.
The new packaging offers beverage manufacturers the opportunity to create a Bringing a solution with less plastic to the market, which corresponds to the „paperisation“ trend in product packaging.

SIG DomeMini is „designed for recycling“ and consists mainly of FSC-certified raw cardboard and is produced using 100 per cent renewable energy. With a high proportion of renewable, forest-based raw materials and an intelligent, resource-efficient and space-saving design, SIG DomeMini offers a number of environmental benefits compared to alternative packaging solutions such as plastic bottles.
The packaging offers ergonomic advantages to consumers such as travellers or commuters. The centrally positioned SIG DomeMiniCap makes the Drink straight from the pack simple, just like a bottle. It is easy to open and close again. So the Pack is safe to carry in your bag and is always to hand for drinking.
The SIG DomeMini 12 Aseptic filling machine can aseptically fill 12,000 packs per hour in a total of seven volume sizes from 180 to 350 ml. All sizes can be realised on one and the same filling machine. A volume changeover is possible in 15 minutes. This maximises efficiency and flexibility in production operations and offers beverage producers outstanding line profitability. The first market launch of SIG DomeMini will be in China. Expansion into other countries is in preparation.
