At Automatica, CeiliX will be presenting a solution for lifting and placing beverage crates in floor block storage systems and demonstrating for the first time the coordinated cooperation between an overhead and a floor-bound AMR.
At this year's Automatica 2025 in Munich, CeiliX is presenting the multi-patented InfinityCrane overhead crane and this year's focus is on autonomous mobile robots (AMRs) with robotic arms or special tools. The company will be showing a solution for lifting and placing beverage crates in floor block warehouses, as well as a First demonstration of coordinated cooperation between a ceiling and ground-based AMR. Together with robotics partner Kassow Robots, a subsidiary of Bosch Rexroth, CeiliX aims to bring greater efficiency, safety and flexibility to modern intralogistics processes.
Skybot lifts crates of drinks
With the newly developed lifting tool for beverage crates, CeiliX is demonstrating a practical application of its omnidirectional overhead AMR (AMR = autonomous mobile robot) „Skybot“. The robot, which is based on the CeiliX InfinityCrane, can be used fthe ceiling of the hall, Lifting, transporting and precisely placing beverage crates - ideal for use in floor-based block storage systems, which are widely used in the beverage industry. By eliminating forklift or floor AGV traffic, traffic routes are relieved, collision risks are minimised and space is used more efficiently.

Ceiling meets floor - new perspectives for AMR cooperation
A particular highlight of the trade fair appearance is the first public demonstration of the cooperation between a ceiling-mounted AMR and a ground-based AMR. In close coordination, the two systems transfer loads to each other, operate together and are adding a new, vertical component to traditional intralogistics. The ceiling-mounted AMR is based on the ctrlX automation platform from Bosch Rexroth and demonstrates how open control architectures can be used for flexible, manufacturer-independent robotics solutions. The combination of both levels opens up additional space and enables completely new automation strategies.
„We show that automation does not have to be limited to one level. By intelligently complementing ceiling and floor AMRs, we open up completely new degrees of freedom in logistics. This is a real game changer for any environment where space, flexibility and safety are crucial.“
Mathias Entenmann, CEO and co-founder of CeiliX
CeiliX innovations can be experienced live at two trade fair stands from 24 to 27 June 2025: In Hall B4, Stand 408 CeiliX will be presenting the InfinityCrane, the new Skybot with lifting tool and demonstrations on increasing efficiency in block storage systems. In Hello B4, Stand 101 Kassow Robots (Bosch Rexroth) will be demonstrating the floor-based AMR and the cooperation with the ceiling AMR from CeiliX live.
