Paper-based closure solutions for cardboard packaging are in demand internationally. The wet adhesive tapes from Schümann are recommended as a particularly resource-saving and sustainable packaging material:
They now comply with FSC certification or PEFC certification. These parcel tapes are currently available in different versions: The unreinforced wet adhesive tapes for sealing cardboard packaging are made exclusively from kraft paper and a coating of potato starch. They are therefore environmentally friendly and easy to dispose of. The coating develops its adhesive effect simply by wetting it sparingly with water, either manually or mechanically. Within seconds, this creates a material bond between the cardboard and the wet adhesive tape, which can only be opened destructively - and therefore immediately identified. The wet adhesive tape therefore acts like a seal.
The company supplies its wet adhesive tapes in brown and white as well as in widths of 60, 70 and 80 millimetres as standard. Special widths are possible and printing with water-soluble colours is also an integral part of the range. Schümann also offers the non-reinforced wet adhesive tapes with integrated tear strip. In addition to the product features of natural glue and kraft paper, the reinforced cardboard sealing tapes in the Green Line also have reinforcing threads made from renewable raw materials.
