Chep and RTG Retail Trade Group announce their expanded cooperation. The global expert in pallet pooling and the retailer network founded in 2017 confirmed in a contract that they will work together more closely in the areas of supply chain and logistics.

The framework agreement offers the cooperation partners a wide range of benefits along their supply chain, particularly thanks to the closed load carrier cycle based on the pooling principle, according to the statement.

„We are delighted to be integrating Chep even more closely into our retail cooperation with the signing of the contract, which means optimised processes in the supply chain and logistics for us. For the Retail Trade Group, the cooperation is an important addition to our ambitious climate protection goals, in which we actively contribute to further reducing CO2 emissions in the FMCG sector. In addition, the Chep Q+ Reusable Display makes a significant contribution to a sensible circular economy.“

Improved operational processes for cooperation partners and industry

The RTG Retail Trade Group is one of the largest retail co-operations in Germany, whose members include the companies Globus, Bartels-Langness, Bünting, Netto ApS, tegut, Klaas & Kock and Georg Jos. Kaes. It was founded to strengthen the competitiveness of the partners. The primary goal is to increase efficiency in purchasing for food FMCG and non-food as well as to bundle functional areas such as technical purchasing and supply chain management. Manufacturers from the FMCG industry will gain access to more sales space - both regionally and nationwide - and reportedly achieve significantly higher market penetration as a result. For the industry, the agreement between Chep and RTG Retail Trade Group means more efficient logistics processes, as the retailer network is in favour of consistent deliveries on the Chep solutions.

„By working together with the RTG Retail Trade Group, we believe we are on the right track to not only utilise the benefits of the circular economy more efficiently, but also to achieve an even greater positive impact on the environment and resources through the distribution of our sustainable reusable display, the Chep Q+ Reusable Display, in the German food retail sector.“
