The British company Caroboo, known for its vegan carob-based chocolate bars, has achieved a listing with Holland & Barrett. The Mint, Orange and Salted Caramel Nutty flavours are now available in 329 shops of the health and wellness chain. The new partnership should enable Caroboo to achieve significant growth of 150 per cent compared to the previous year.

The speciality of the Caroboo bars lies in the use of carob instead of cocoa. The products contain no caffeine, but do contain fibre, antioxidants, vitamins and minerals. Caroboo thus offers an alternative snack option for health-conscious consumers.

Parallel to the listing, Caroboo is introducing a new Recyclable paper packaging which replaces the previous compostable version. This measure is aimed at meeting the increasing demands for sustainable packaging solutions and reducing the environmental impact. The company plans to switch all product packaging to the new paper-based solution in the coming months in order to meet both customer requirements and its own sustainability goals.
