Christian Kühnhold has been the new CEO at EPAL since October 2018 and is therefore responsible for the general secretariat of the pallet and mesh box exchange pool operator. In this role, he succeeds Martin Leibrandt.
Kühnhold comes from PAKi Logistics GmbH. He was CEO there for 13 years. He was also a member of the Board of Faber Halbertsma Groep B.V. in the Netherlands. In this context, he co-initiated IPP Germany GmbH 6 years ago and has since built it up.
Kühnhold to further strengthen EPAL's Euro range
„Christian Kühnhold is extremely familiar with the pallet market and the management of open pools at an international level,“ emphasises Robert Holliger, President of the European Pallet Association e.V. (EPAL). The board of the international association is convinced that the new CEO will provide EPAL with important impetus for successful further development. The aim is to further strengthen the Euro pallet under the EPAL brand, drive forward its expansion into new markets and establish additional products.
One currently very important project is iPAL, in which the Euro pallet is being equipped with intelligence in collaboration with the Fraunhofer Institute for Material Flow and Logistics IML in order to develop new business models on this basis.
