The US recyclate manufacturer Circularix has commissioned a new plant for food-grade rPET in Ocala, Florida, and has also announced an expansion of its site in Hatfield, Pennsylvania.

Circularix, a US producer of food-grade recycled PET (rPET), has announced the commercial start-up of its new recycling facility in Ocala, Florida. The facility complements the existing main site in Hatfield, Pennsylvania, and increases the capacity to supply leading consumer goods brands with high-quality rPET.

CEO and founder Leon Farahnik explained that the construction of the new plant was completed in record time: Only a few months had passed between the arrival of the machines in March and full production on 1 August. This was thanks to the dedication and expertise of the team.

Expansion of the Hatfield site

Parallel to the launch in Florida, Circularix is planning an expansion in Hatfield. A neighbouring industrial building is to be taken over there in order to further increase production capacity and meet the growing demand.

Farahnik emphasised that with the additional capacity, Circularix will be better able to support partner companies in achieving their sustainability goals in the packaging sector. The company's goal is to drive the circular economy for plastics in the US through innovation and close collaboration with customers.
