The bulk goods industry places special demands on packaging machines for the different materials that need to be protected for transport. Especially when transporting and storing powders and granulates, the large containers must be properly sealed and evacuated. SSB Wägetechnik GmbH is presenting a sealing system for this purpose that works with a vacuum.
With the STV 2200 capping system from SSB Weighing technology there is a clean solution for closing large containers. While the bags are being sealed by the system, a Vacuum is generated, which is a safe and effective way to evacuate residual air. Due to the wide bag dimensions, the machine has a clamping and spreading device to make the application easy and safe for the operator.
For a major customer project in the plastics sector, the company worked together to find and implement a suitable solution for packaging and cleanly closing the products in large containers. The requirements were Simpler and easier operation, better quality of the weld seam even for thinner film thicknesses, The system is suitable for large containers with clamping dimensions of up to 2.5 metres and evacuation of residual air to improve product quality. It was also important that a gas exchange of the packaged bulk goods is possible, that the system is suitable for dust explosives - welding option under Atex regulation and for the food hygiene regulation, has a lower energy consumption and is equipped with a welding controller for the temperature range 100 to 300 degrees.
