The Hubergroup has developed new Cold Foil Silver and Cold Foil Gold adhesives specifically for food contact materials (FCM) - customised for packaging manufacturers in the confectionery, chocolate, tobacco and hygiene industries.

The new Cold Foil Silver and Cold Foil Gold adhesives are based on the Hubergroup's UV-curing NewV lac MGA technology. With fast curing speeds and good printing machine performance these new cold foil adhesives offer the possibility of achieving metallic effects with high precision.

The new adhesives have been developed in collaboration with leading film manufacturers and undergo rigorous testing to ensure that they are Available for use worldwide are. In addition to their good printing performance, Cold Foil Silver and Cold Foil Gold also fulfil the high product safety standards. Both products fulfil the most important regulatory standards, including the EuPIA suitability list for photoinitiators and photosynergists for food contact materials, the EuPIA guideline for printing inks applied to food contact materials and the Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) for FCM printing inks. They are formulated in accordance with the Swiss Ordinance on Materials and Articles in Contact with Food (SR 817.023.21).
