Filling different products in variable tube sizes on different lines: The orders merge almost seamlessly. For presentation on the supermarket shelf, the packs still have to be deposited quickly and efficiently in trays and boxes. If only there was a machine for this that could simply be moved from line to line as required ...
When filling products into tubes, companies are often faced with the situation that Relatively small batches which still have to be precisely inserted or placed in trays or outer packaging without jamming. Manual labour would only be an emergency solution. What to do? These were the questions that the Technician from the north confronted again and again in practice.
Compact packer increases packaging efficiency
Traditionally, tray and case packaging solutions at Norden have been developed for a reduced number of packaging variants and for a speed of 150 tubes per minute and higher. But the idea of a compact case and tray packer was one that the experts couldn't let go of. The company rose to the challenge and the engineers developed a Fully automatic machine that can be easily transported from line to line on a pallet using a pallet truck.

The NTP80 compact packer deposits tubes as required by retailers and in the individual space available either in folding boxes or trays, which can then be easily placed directly on the supermarket shelf. The machine is characterised by a high degree of flexibility and is predestined for use with tube fillers in the 60 to 80 tubes per minute range. In addition to machines from Norden, such as the NM 602 or NM 702 tube fillers, it is also suitable for filling technology from other manufacturers.
Automation of production easier than ever
Norden wanted to develop a machine for packaging in a wide variety of shop displays that did not require any special prior knowledge of robot handling for the many possible format changes. After all, what use is highly intelligent automation technology if its potential cannot be fully utilised in practice?.

All of the company's expertise has been pooled, resulting in a machine with an extremely compact design that combines many of the features of high-speed technology. A product changeover or size change can be completed within five minutes. The operator does not need to have any special robot-specific or programming knowledge. Errors that could occur during manual packaging are also eliminated. The compact packer significantly lowers the threshold for automation, and Norden expects amortisation within one year.
[infotext]Short interview with Guido Müller

Mr Müller, as head of the German branch, you see great interest in your solution in the cosmetics and food industry. The compact packer is being used successfully by the Swiss company Wild. What is the reason for this positive response?
Guido Müller: Clearly the Flexibility in packaging, in which the tubes are inserted: The following are possible Trays of all kinds with or without plastic or cardboard inserts (shelf-ready packaging), as well as a wide variety of folding cartons/shipping packaging as single-material variants or material combinations - in all standard market units, of course. And the tubes can be processed vertically or horizontally.
What makes this solution so special?
Guido Müller: The special feature is the Simple handling with the compact packer. Seven common packaging formats are already fully pre-parameterised and only the dimensions need to be entered via a menu. No programmer is required for new formats; customers can enter them themselves using an intuitive HMI. No format parts are required for tubes with diameters of 28 to 50 millimetres. In addition, the NTP80 can be quickly moved to another filling machine using a transport trolley and is ready for operation there in just a few simple steps[/infotext].
