The closure manufacturer Bericap is acquiring Amcor Rigid Packaging's 50 per cent stake in Bericap North America. This strengthens the company's presence in the North American market and secures full control of the joint venture.

Bericap, an international manufacturer of plastic and aluminium closures, has announced the complete acquisition of Bericap North America (BCNA). The company, which had been a 50/50 joint venture between Bericap and Amcor Rigid Packaging since 1997, is now 100 per cent controlled by Bericap. According to Bericap, the acquisition of the shares represents the largest investment in the company's history and is intended to further strengthen its market position in North America.

BCNA operates three production sites in the USA, Canada and Mexico. With an annual turnover of over 200 million US dollars, the company offers the complete Bericap portfolio for the food, beverage and industrial markets to. The company is headquartered in Burlington, Ontario.

With this acquisition, Bericap emphasises its long-term commitment to the North American market, which is considered strategically important for the company's growth. According to the company, full control of BCNA will help to promote innovation and further improve customer service. The acquisition marks a significant step in the company's nearly 100-year history.
