The environment and resource conservation take centre stage at Anuga FoodTec. Jowat will be showcasing suitable solutions from its adhesives portfolio, such as bio-based hot-melt adhesives and those with a low processing temperature.

The main theme of the Anuga FoodTec 2024 is „Responsibility“. The trade fair aims to encourage manufacturers and suppliers in the food and beverage industry to work together on concepts and strategies for the responsible use of resources. The use of resource-optimised adhesives in packaging processes makes an important contribution here. In addition to classic packaging adhesives Jowat in Cologne therefore prioritises Adhesives from its sustainable product portfolio „Jowat Green Adhesives“.

Clean and also particularly environmentally friendly, the bio-based hotmelt adhesives of the Jowatherm GROW range. Jowatherm GROW 853.20 has a certified bio-based raw material content of 33 per cent. Jowatherm GROW 853.22 has an even higher proportion of bio-based raw materials of 51 per cent. This adhesive also stands out with a very broad adhesion spectrum for secure bonding even on challenging surfaces. Thanks to a high cold flexibility it is also an interesting partner for use in deep-freeze applications.

Sustainable energy savings of up to 45 per cent are made possible with the help of the Jowat-Toptherm 851.99 hotmelt adhesive. Here, innovation driver Jowat combines a very Low processing temperature from 99 °C with a broad adhesion spectrum, a sharp thread break and solid universal properties. With its low application temperatures, the adhesive is particularly attractive for packaging temperature-sensitive products such as frozen foods or confectionery. Free from MOAH (below the typical detection limit), it also scores highly for Packaging of dry or fatty foods with a long shelf life.

The two flagship products Jowat-Toptherm 851.10 and 851.15 will also be on show at this year's Anuga FoodTec. Jowat-Toptherm 851.10 is particularly recommended when it comes to bonding coated surfaces, for example. In addition to its high cold resistance, the adhesive is very popular with users due to its high sharp thread breakage popular. Jowat-Toptherm 851.15 impresses users with high restoring forces, short pressing times and high ambient temperatures.
