The Constantia Flexibles Group has invested in new printing technology for the pharmaceutical packaging industry at its Leuven site in Belgium. A new four-colour UV flexo printing press is set to go into operation in the second quarter of 2017 and will primarily support customers with small to medium-sized quantities.
At the same time, the printing capacity is to be increased and new production areas covered. Significantly reduce solvent emissions.
„We are pleased that this investment will bring us closer to our sustainability goals and at the same time set an example for further UV printing presses in Leuven,“ said Pierre-Henri Bruchon, Executive Vice President of the Pharmaceuticals Division.
The Leuven site is an integral part of the satellite concept in the area of Pharmaceuticals of Constantia Flexibles in Europe. Films and laminates supplied from the larger plants are processed here.
