Coveris has successfully completed a 9.5 million euro investment at its plant in Halle. The modernisation of machine capacity and infrastructure strengthens the strategic importance of the site for the production of flexible packaging.
The comprehensive site modernisation comprises three important developments aimed at increasing production efficiency, improving the quality of production and supporting sustainable growth:
New cast film extrusion line
The F08 cast film extrusion line has started full production following successful material qualification. This expansion strengthens the site's flexibility in material development and supports the production of customised, future-proof packaging solutions, with a particular focus on recyclable monofilms for thermoforming and medical applications.
Next-generation printing capacities in operation
The state-of-the-art T9 Rotomec gravure printing press has completed its test phase and is now fully operational. This high-performance printing machine increases printing speed, precision and reliability and enables the production of premium packaging with improved consistency and shorter throughput times.

New logistics concept
A newly constructed warehouse optimises internal logistics and significantly expands on-site storage capacity. Thanks to its intelligent design, the warehouse enables leaner workflows, more efficient material handling and improved delivery performance.
A strategic milestone for the future
By investing in these three areas, Coveris Halle has strengthened its portfolio of sustainable mono film solutions, improved delivery times and taken its gravure printing strengths to a new level, enabling it to meet customer demands for sustainability and customisation even better than before. The investment is part of Coveris' overall mission to future-proof its production network and create value through smart, sustainable growth.
