Knuspr is the name of a new online grocery retailer that has launched in Munich and aims to reach around 30 million people in Germany over the next three years. Customers can now choose between reusable bags made from recycled PET bottles or conventional paper bags.
The bags are made from recycled PET bottles and are certified for repeated use and contact with food.
If an environmentally friendly plastic bag is chosen for future purchases, it can simply be selected in the „Pack“ menu under „Reusable bags“ when ordering via the online shop or app. To ensure that the reusable cycle is successful, the Knuspr couriers will accept empty bags for subsequent purchases.
To ensure both hygienic and aesthetic standards, the bags are professionally cleaned after each use and, depending on their condition, either reused or disposed of. Even if a one-off deposit of 10 euros is charged for switching to the new reusable bags, the service remains free of charge. The changeover can be cancelled at any time. The deposit will then be refunded.
