Murrelektronik focuses on decentralised automation solutions for the packaging industry. Modular, digital systems and plug & play solutions are designed to simplify installation and operation.

Decentralised automation solutions are becoming increasingly important in the packaging industry. At interpack 2026, Murrelektronik will be presenting approaches designed to improve the installation, operation, and flexibility of packaging machines through modular systems and digital services. The Vario-X system, which enables a modular machine architecture with decentralised intelligence, is a key focus. The system is space-saving and flexibly expandable, suitable for various formats and cycle times.

Working with ATS Corporation

In cooperation with the Canadian ATS Corporation, Murrelektronik is integrating the Vario-X system with the SuperTrak Conveyance system. This combination offers a scalable plug-and-play solution that accelerates processes and minimises space requirements.

Digital support and risk minimisation

The uKonn-X digital installation support guides users through complex installations and commissioning processes, reduces errors, and eases the workload for skilled professionals. Furthermore, Murrelektronik is utilising digital twins to significantly shorten commissioning times – by up to 70 percent, according to the company.

Networking and Integration

With pure.IO, up to 256 I/Os are networked, increasing flexibility and overview in packaging machines. The One-Cam-Connect package simplifies the integration of cameras into systems, for example for quality control. The MVK Fusion CIP Safety module combines standard and safety sensor technology in one device, simplifying secure installation in Ethernet/IP environments.

Compact power supply

The MQ 15 connectors offer a compact solution for powering motors up to 7.5 kW and frequency converters. They meet IP67 protection requirements and reduce assembly effort through a quick-connect system.
