Dr Dietmar Ley, CEO of Basler AG in Ahrensburg, is the new Chairman of the VDMA Robotics + Automation Association.
Dietmar Ley succeeds Frank Konrad, CEO Hahn Automation Group GmbH, Rheinböllen, whose Honorary position as Chairman ended after three years.
„Robotics and automation are Key technologies to secure competitiveness Europe in a world characterised by geopolitical uncertainty. In these dynamic times, it is crucial that Europe has a strong voice for innovation and technological excellence. Over the next three years, we will therefore endeavour to strengthen the position of the European mechanical and plant engineering as a global technology and innovation leader in this area,” said Dietmar Ley on taking office.
