Turck GmbH, Meisenheim, wants to set a strong signal for the future of industrial automation with its solutions for a networked, efficient and sustainable industry and will be presenting digital conveyor lines, its IIoT and service platform TAS and the new AI camera TIV this year, for example.

With it, the company is bringing artificial intelligence directly into production. The self-learning camera processes image data locally and in real time and is ideal for applications such as quality or completeness checks, object classification or process monitoring. With its intuitive user interface and easy integration into existing systems, it is considered a milestone for industrial AI.

With TAS (Turck Automation Suite), Turck not only simplifies the management and configuration of Turck devices in industrial Ethernet networks, but also the condition monitoring, plant management and remote maintenance for machine and plant manufacturers via TAS Cloud. With functions such as network scan, batch configuration and firmware updates, TAS Desktop offers a centralised platform for commissioning, maintenance and condition monitoring. Apps such as Radar Monitor and Vibration Monitor enable predictive maintenance directly in the browser without additional software installation. Among other things, TAS Cloud offers a maintenance manager that allows users to create, schedule, carry out and document maintenance plans for their machines in a modular system without programming.

A particular highlight will be the digitalised conveyor lines (Fig.). Turck's block I/O controller modules and other decentralised IP67 components, from 48 V power supply units to switches and safety modules, reduce data traffic, cycle times and the risk of failure: The Digital Conveyor Lines are flexibly scalable, highly available, energy-efficient and can be set up without jamming in no time at all.
