The coronavirus vaccinations that have started in Germany have also led to a sharp increase in the number of disposable syringes and needles. They can now be packed and disposed of in a sturdy cardboard box from Hamburger Kartonagenfabrik.

The disposal box with the designation  B-B-S (Box Board Safe) is designed to hold used syringes and cannulas in doctors' surgeries and medical facilities. It is made from recycled paper and, according to Hamburg-based Kartonagenfabrik E. Stark GmbH, is characterised by its Homogeneous material structure, high moisture resistance and good durability from.

Disposal box without plastic

„We have developed patented folds and thus achieve a high level of strength,“ says Managing Director Jürgen Heesch. The Schleswig-Holstein Ministry of Health has already received a large number of the disposal boxes from the Pinneberg-based cardboard packaging manufacturer for its vaccination centres.
