A folding box for chicken snacks from pizza delivery service „Domino's‘ has received the “German Design Award„ from the German Design Council. The three-chamber packaging designed by A&R Carton GmbH was praised by the jury for being quick and easy to unfold and close securely. The fact that the entire packaging is made of cardboard and is therefore easy to recycle was also recognised.
The box was designed with the aim of simplifying work processes for the employees of Domino's to optimise. The Folding carton packaging can be assembled by pulling and pushing. This creates three partitions that can separate three different chicken products from each other. The Closure on the lid contains a tuck-in flap which, together with the side flaps, forms a secure system. The packaging is designed for five Chicken snacks with such melodious names as „Chicken Wings“, Strippers and Chicken Breast Fillet Kickers.
„A cleverly designed box that is also fully recyclable and therefore very sustainable.“
