To mark its 30th anniversary, the Dresden Packaging Conference will take place online this year. The networking platform will focus on the topics of sustainability, the circular economy and digitalisation.

The form is new, but the appeal and value should be retained. In its anniversary year of all years, the Dresden Packaging Conference has to take place online - as the "Digital Packaging Days". From 2 to 4 December participants are now meeting virtually. As always, the German Packaging Institute industry, brands, retail, science and research together with students at the traditional end-of-year meeting of the sector.

"Unfortunately, our participants will have to do without the traditional flair of the Dresden Christmas markets this year. But apart from that, the dvi's Digital Packaging Days will offer the usual high-quality content and top speakers. The networking character and the unique opportunity to make contact with students from packaging-related degree programmes will also be retained. We are using a special match-making tool for this purpose. I am sure that even in times of corona, we will continue to be an interactive network meeting point and dialogue platform that gets to the heart of the key issues surrounding packaging"
Winfried Batzke, Managing Director of Deutsches Verpackungsinstitut eV.

The dvi's Digital Packaging Days begin on Wednesday with student panels for sustainability projects from various companies. On Thursday and Friday, the event will offer participants presentations by experts from leading companies from 10:30 am to 12:00 pm. Exciting start-ups with innovative products and services will also be presented. Interactive participation and networking by participants will be made possible and is welcome. On the Thursday of the conference, the game-changer topic of sustainability will take centre stage.
