Around 1,600 exhibitors will be taking part in drinktec, the world's leading trade fair for the beverage and liquid food industry, in Munich from 11 to 15 September, making it the largest trade fair in its 60-year history. The integration of SIMEI, the world's leading trade fair for wine technology, will increase the hall space occupied by drinktec to over 150,000 square metres.
As the world's leading trade fair, drinktec is the world's largest industry event for the Beverage and liquid food industry, the global economic summit of the industry. From family-run companies to global players, drinktec 2017 will showcase all the big names in the industry. The exhibitors represent the entire process chain: from the Manufacture about the Filling and Packaging up to the Marketing of beverages and liquid food - including raw materials, beverage ingredients and logistics solutions. In detail, drinktec 2017 comprises the exhibition areas of process technology, containers/packaging, filling and packaging technology, raw materials/ingredients, process automation, energy management, PET technology as well as catering supplies, sales promotion and marketing.
Innovation show
drinktec is regarded as an innovation show. The latest solutions and entire systems are presented for the first time in Munich - a unique selling point of drinktec. The trade fair is known for its partly spectacular stand presentations.
SIMEI@drinktec
For the first time, the event organised by the Unione Italiana Vini (UIV) SIMEI an integral part of drinktec. SIMEI@drinktec„ will occupy its own exhibition area in Halls C2 and C3. The range of products and technologies on offer at drinktec will thus be extended to include all areas of the beverage industry. Wine technology completed. This creates a globally unique platform for the international wine industry, which not only covers the wine sector, but also allows visitors to take a look „outside the box“ and experience what other sectors, such as the beer industry, have to offer. drinktec exhibitors, around 60 per cent of whom offer solutions for the wine industry, will gain even more potential customers through SIMEI. Conversely, exhibitors at SIMEI@drinktec can present themselves to an international global audience. SIMEI will continue to take place every two years, but will alternate between Italy and Munich in future.
Over 70,000 trade visitors from all over the world
More than 70,000 trade visitors from all over the world and from all areas of beverage production are expected at drinktec 2017. Around two thirds of the visitors will come from abroad. And drinktec appeals to the entire industry: Professionals from the soft drinks and fruit juice industry, the brewing industry, mineral water companies, dairies, wine and sparkling wine cellars, the spirits industry and the specialised beverage trade and wholesale. Employees from manufacturing and production make up the largest proportion of visitors, closely followed by business and company managers. Representatives from marketing and sales have also discovered drinktec for themselves and inform themselves about the latest developments and trends.
