Messe München is organising the IAA motor show for the first time in September 2021. Therefore, drinktec is postponing its event date: The world's leading trade fair for the beverage and liquid food industry will take place three weeks later from 4 to 8 October 2021.
The Munich Trade Fair Centre has cancelled the tender for the German Association of the Automotive Industry (VDA) for the IAA (International Motor Show). This means that one of the largest automotive trade fairs in the world will be held in Munich every two years from September 2021.
„For the VDA, it was imperative in the final negotiations that the IAA take place in September. However, this means that we have to adjust our calendar of events,” says Dr Reinhard Pfeiffer, Deputy Chairman of the Board of Management of Messe München. „We are all the more pleased that we to set a new suitable date in close co-operation with the drinktec advisory board could.”
Volker Kronseder, Chairman of the drinktec Advisory Board: „Of course we weren't happy about the postponement of drinktec at first, but then we discussed various date options within the Advisory Board, which represents a cross-section of all sectors of the industry. with the new date now an alternative that achieves a broad consensus.”
Richard Clemens, Managing Director of VDMA Food Processing and Packaging Machinery, adds: „This close and constructive exchange with all market experts has fortunately now resulted in a drinktec date that reflects their recognised expertise. Positioning as the world's leading international trade fair for the beverage and liquid food industry continues to correspond very well.“
The Preparations for drinktec 2021 are going according to plan further. Interested companies can continue to online at http://www.drinktec.com register. All companies that already have the Exhibitor online registration for the old date (13 to 17 September 2021) must have registered do nothing for the time being.
